10 students from RHS just returned from the Educators Rising Competition in Orlando, Florida, where they attended workshops and training sessions while also presenting in competitions such as Lesson Plan Design, Public Speaking, and Ethical Dilemma.
The participants are: Laurel Henderson, Emilie Young, Matt Young (teacher), Kaytlynn Cartagena, Joy Skaggs, Emmalei Blythe, Haylee Bryant, Maddie Daniel, Sigrid Christensen, Kaylee Simpson, and Sadie Hilton.

Beginning the 2023-2024 school year, RSD will implement Smart Start Mondays in which all RSD schools will begin one hour later to provide instructional staff time to plan and collaborate on instructional practices for remediation or acceleration based on student needs.
Community information sessions:
The District will be hosting Learning Sessions for families to learn more about Smart Start Monday implementation. The learning sessions will be held at the Russellville Junior High School Library at the following dates and times:
July 13th, July 14th, July 19th, and July 20th
Morning Sessions 7:30 - 8:00 a.m.
Mid Day Sessions 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Evening Sessions 5:00 - 5:30 p.m.
A virtual session is now available:
July 21st, 11:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
