"Hop Into Kindergarten" is an event for all upcoming Kindergartner families interested in enrolling in RSD! This event will be hosted at Oakland Heights Elementary from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on April 11th, 2024. Rain or shine!
Families will participate in an egg hunt, receive a copy of Tops and Bottoms by Janet Stevens, and learn more about Kindergarten in RSD!

🎉 Computer Science Students Compete at All-Region Coding Competition 🎉
9 talented RHS Computer Science students represented RHS with pride at the Governor's All-Region Coding Competition, showcasing incredible skill and teamwork. 🖥️✨
Team 1: Matthew Schmidt, Veeren Donda, and Noah Wheeler showed remarkable problem-solving skills. 🚀
Team 2: Hayden Daniel, Jack Tullos, and Parker Whitbey demonstrated outstanding collaboration and coding prowess. 🌟
Team 3: Logan Greggs, Logan Magill, and Gavin Hurbanek stood out brilliantly, earning a coveted spot among the top 16 teams selected for the Governor's All-State Coding Competition at Arkansas Tech University on April 20th! Out of 140 teams statewide, this is a phenomenal achievement! 🏆👨💻

CVE Career Day ❤️🎓
📚 Every year, Center Valley Elementary hosts “Career Day” where students in all grade levels learn about local career opportunities. The day begins with a parade where all the students dress up in their future career attire! From astronauts to aspiring educators, these students are sure to have bright futures and great impact on the world!
💡 Students learned about the wide variety of careers available locally from classroom speakers and an outside rotation where students could look inside vehicles, see equipment, and get an in-depth look into jobs in fields such as construction, postal service, and emergency services.
♥️ Thank you to all the community businesses and leaders who helped provide these wonderful learning experiences for CVE students!

For Oakland Heights Elementary student River Woods, serving others is a significant part of leadership. On the playground, in the lunchroom, and in every learning opportunity, River strives to lead by example in being helpful and kind.
