Cyclone Quiz Bowl Team wins 8th Consecutive State Championship 🏆 🎉 The RHS Quiz Bowl team won their 8th straight 6A state championship on Saturday defeating Little Rock Catholic 290 - 155 in Conway at the studios of PBS Arkansas. They finished the season with an amazing 76 - 4 record! Congratulations Cyclones! #OneRSD♥️🌪️🖤

Ladarreus says leading with positivity and inclusion can have great impacts. Laddereus commented, “Whether it's a teacher or another kid in my class, my actions can have the possibility of leaving a positive impact on someone and that’s important.” Another part of inclusion is seeking other’s opinions. “You never know what someone else can teach you. 🎓 ❤ Makayla Harrell | Profile of the RSD Graduate Story Team is a word that often comes to mind when thinking about athletics or competitive events. For RMS student Makayla Harrell, learning is also a team sport. Makayla is a 7th grader at Russellville Middle School. She is a high-achieving student and participates in a variety of sports such as volleyball and dance. While juggling all of these activities, Makayla keeps inclusion at the heart of all her work. Makayla says inclusion ensures everyone can be successful. “I think of the classroom in the same way as my team trying to win the game. In the game, the goal is to score points and hopefully win. RHS Students Compete in the State Art Competition 🎨 🏆 RHS Students competed in the State Art Competition at AYAA in Hot Springs. The students had a total of 9 wins! Rising Educators Qualify for Nationals 🏆 On April 12, seven students from Mr. Young's Pre-Educator courses attended the Educators Rising State Competition at the Hot Springs Hotel. 🎓 ❤ Crawford Rash | Profile of the RSD Graduate Story Crawford is among one of just 16,000 academically talented high school students in the nation to be named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Semifinalists are qualified based on their performance on the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). This is just one testament to his strong thinking and excellence in problem-solving. Crawford’s success reaches outside of the classroom as he is also a member of the State Champion Cyclones Quiz Bowl team and the Cyclones Robotics team. Both competitions test students' ability to creatively find solutions to a variety of problems and challenge students to demonstrate high-level analytical thinking. Crawford commented, “Critically thinking has helped me refocus on the different paths to success as challenges have come up.” Crawford says he approaches critical thinking as a way of analyzing and separating feelings from choices and information presented to make the best decisions possible. ❤ Crawford, you are an inspiration to us all.
