RSD Schools Closed January 9 - 10, 2025: Due to the forecasted winter storm, all RSD schools will be closed on January 9 and January 10, 2025. The safety of our students and staff is always our highest priority. Given the uncertainty surrounding the timing and impact of the storm, including potential road hazards and varying bus route lengths and conditions, RSD is announcing these closures in advance to allow families ample time to make necessary arrangements. These two days will not require make-up days because the 2024-2025 school calendar includes enough extra instructional hours to meet state requirements. Thank you for your understanding as RSD prioritizes the safety of students and staff. Stay safe and warm!

Inclement Weather Reminder: RSD will be actively watching forecasts for any weather that may impact travel and road conditions. The safety of our students, staff, and families is our top priority when making decisions regarding school closures. 📲Notification to Families: Families will be notified of any school closures, early dismissals, or delays via text, phone, the Russellville School District website, and social media. Please make sure your contact information is up to date with your child’s campus office. 🚍Transportation: When there is inclement weather, RSD Transportation may use alternative snow routes as a safety precaution. Snow routes have specific pick-up/drop-off locations for areas that are unsafe for bus travel. Find all the snow routes information on the RSD website. If there are no snow routes for your area, buses will run as normal. Important: Snow Routes may change frequently, please check for updates when inclement weather comes. 🗓️ Make Up Days: Arkansas school districts can no longer use Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Days. Make up days for any school closures will be announced at a later date. #OneRSD❤️🌪️🖤
